Entry Acceptance Policy

Please see the Competitor’s Page for draw, timetable, results, safety information and ‘Notes to Competitors’.

Please note that both entries and payments must be made online this year via BROE. It is not necessary to pay online at the time of entry [although you are advised to do so in case events are oversubscribed] provided online payment is made before the day of the regatta. Payments on the day will not be accepted.

The closing date for entries is 10:00am Saturday 12th May 2012.

The regatta committee would like to point out that, given the revised British Rowing Rule 4-1-2 [two points to be awarded in a senior event where at least nine crews start] ALL events will be restricted to a maximum of 8 entries. Should more than 8 entries be received for any event, consideration will be given to running further divisions if necessary, as previously set out in the regatta’s Entry Acceptance Policy. Winners of any qualifying event at Twickenham Regatta will therefore receive only 1 status point.

Regatta News

Ian Rogers Victor Ludorum
Following the success of this trophy last year (well done Kingston RC) we offer it again this year to the most successful Remenham Club at Twickenham Regatta.
We’d like to thank the Remenham Club for its support. This distinctive trophy will be presented at the end of proceedings in Regatta enclosure.

Lightweight sculls
Lightweight IM2 single sculls will once again be offered. If you are interested in entering other lightweight events please contact the Regatta Secretary.

Time & Tide . . .
Once again we are at the mercy of an inconvenient tide break – curtailing the available time to run events. This means we will have to restrict numbers on some events – rejections being on a first come(and paid) first served basis.

About the Regatta
Twickenham Regatta is raced over 1,250m from a stakeboat start and provides an ideal opportunity for crews, both lightweight and heavyweight, to get some high intensity speed work, as well as excellent two-abreast racing preparation for the gladiatorial arena that is side-by-side racing at Henley.

Located on London’s most beautiful stretch of the Thames between Eel Pie Island and Richmond Bridge, every year Twickenham Regatta welcomes some 500 competitors in more than 130 races.

Events are offered across all categories from J16 upwards including novice, intermediate, senior, elite and veteran.
