Twickenham Rowing Club is a welcoming open club and accepts people of all ages and abilities. We offer a number of different squads for experienced rowers and run courses for beginners of all ages.

Beginners

We run several courses each year to cater for beginners of different ages. We require any new member who has not rowed before to complete one of our courses before joining a squad. Please contact the relevant person for your prospective squad to find out when the next course is due to take place:

Under 18s should see the Junior Squad page.

Adults under 35 should see the Development Squad page for either Men or Women.

Adults over 35 should see the Veteran Squad section for either Men or Women.

Adults with an interest in learning to scull should see the Sculling School page.

Experienced

Experienced scullers and rowers are welcome to join our squads at any time during the year. Please contact the relevant squad coach or coordinator:

Adult Women should see the Women’s page (with information on our Senior, Intermediate and Veteran squads).

Before using any Club equipment, potential new members who wish to “trial” the club must register and apply for temporary membership by completing and signing the membership form (MS Word Format).

The form, together with the fee of £75, (£7.50 key fob refundable deposit included), should be posted to the Membership Secretary at the address given below.

Temporary membership lasts for 2 months at which point the pro-rated balance is due. Completed application forms, together with the relevant payment, cheques payable to Twickenham Rowing Club, should be sent to the Membership Secretary – Chihiro Calvin, 48A Feltham Road, Ashford, Middlesex TW15 1DH.

Beginners should discuss membership with their coach before completing the membership form.

Annual Subscription Rates 2011/12

  • FULL ROWING – Senior £395
    (18 years or over): use of club boats and facilities and able to represent the club at Regattas and Head of the River races.
  • FULL ROWING - Master £365
    (27 years or over): use of club boats and facilities and able to represent the club at Regattas and Head of the River races.
  • RECREATIONAL ROWING £295
    (18 years or over): use of club boats and facilities. Entry in Regattas and Head of the River Races at the discretion of the Captain.
  • EXPLORE ROWING £200
    Off peak : use of the ER fleet and surf boat for ER tours and surf boat events.
  • STUDENT - £200
    18 years or over and full time Student: as per Full Rowing Member.
  • GYM/ERGO - £200
    (18 years or over): use of all club facilities including the gym and rowing ergometers, but excluding the use of boats.
  • JUNIOR from £186
    (under 18 years and full time student): for further information see the Junior Squad page.
  • SQUAD COXSWAIN / SOCIAL / COUNTRY / OVERSEAS – £85

SECURITY GATE KEY FOB
£7.50 needs to be added to all of the above rates if you require a key fob for the security gate (members aged 18 and over).
