First regatta wins for 2008 at Hammersmith Regatta
Rob Bailey won Vet G/H 1x
In the single, Rob gave away 14 secs in handicap, but still caught his
opponent within 30 strokes or so (guessing he missed his medication that
morning).
Rob and Spike won Vet E/F 2x
The 2x gave away 8 secs to their opponents, but despite being held for
what seemed rather longer than 8 secs, they bounced through the surf faster
than the opposition from AK/Cygnet and caught them shortly before Hamersmith
Bridge, later relaxing to a couple of lengths' win.
Next event for TwRC men's vets will be Thames Ditton where they aim to
race in a Vet E/F eight.
