Handiknapps Sculling Competition 2009 – The Results

Final standings (MS Excel format).

The last Handiknapps round was sculled on Sunday 13^th December, over the “revised” course due to concerns over the water flow through the bridges.

Only four scullers appeared – compared to the nineteen boats which contested Round 1 – showing the rate of attrition on this most gruelling of sculling challenges!

Of the twelve rounds, special mention should go to Spike who competed in all but two rounds (his most recent absence because his boat is being repaired!) followed by David Stanley, Guy Reiffer and Brian Dorling who all  completed nine rounds each.

Congratulations to the winners and runners up, as soon as I can find the trophy I can get it to David (any ideas, anyone?!)

And thank you to all who took the plunge and had a go – I hope you enjoyed it and found your sculling skills improved (because that’s the point, competitive sculling to assist with your boatmanship and ultimately rowing speed)
