Spike Pullen and Robert Bailey competed at the Nat Vets Champs in Nottingham on Sunday 15th June.

They first raced in the Open Vet 2x and came 4th from a field of 6, 10 sec separating 1st and 4th. This was the first time they had had serious competition and it was a great experience. They then won the ‘S3’ Vet E 2x although not sculling as well as in the Open event. Soon after Robert competed in the Open Vet G 1x and came 4th. Our warm-up started at TwRC at 0800 and we had the boats back in TwRC at 2230, so a long day. Conditions at Nottingham were near perfect! Spike and Robert are racing at Richmond in Vet E 2x and are entered for Henley Vets in this category as well.
