Richmond Regatta 2008

Even when our top crews were recovering from or preparing for their respective Henley campaigns, the club showed its strength in depth at Richmond Regatta. Of 11 Twickenham crews to reach their respective finals, 8 won and another lost to a Twickenham crew. The Veteran Men were extremely pleased with their 100% record of three wins from three crews, continuing an excellent season. Jake Nelson won Novice Single Sculls.
Particular praise should be given to Twickenham’s J16 girl’s 2-, which raced above category at Senior 2, beating adult crews from Kingston and Auriol Kensington to take their first senior victory. This combination will attend GB trials later this week for a chance to compete at the GB Vs France match this summer.
